to keep or not to keep

thigh-high suede boots & trench: Zara

This ultra-femme classic (I need to take a break from my Fashion Advertising project... clearly) only set me back $180. I just don't know whether to do the right thing as a poor student and return it, or follow my heart's desires and keep it. So conflicted, but since Zara has a great return policy, I still have 2 weeks to decide......

Short-listed

blouse: Wilfred, cycle shorts: H&M, boots: Frye

It has been a long time since I have updated. I blame school for that.

A skeptic at first, I saw no function or life past "mass acceptance" for these shrunken leggings.
I realize the cycle short is probably at "mass acceptance" now in the realm of fashion blogging. Just visit LOOKBOOK.nu and you'll find it being worn in so many different ways by bloggers around the world. I just can't help but notice that although these were almost sold out at H&M in Vancouver, they're practically no where to be seen on the street. What actually convinced me to get my own pair (aside from the price of $6.95) was a blog I ran into while doing a project where they compiled photos of fashion bloggers wearing cycle shorts of different lengths and styles, making them look completely wearable. There's actually so much you can do with them, and they're a definite staple this summer.

omg, one more thing: I did the unthinkable and tried on the clog Miu Miu sparrow platform and I'm sold..... that is, in the hopes that no one else in Vancouver will understand their beauty, and they'll end up on discount. Although, $545 doesn't seem so steep for platform clogs (to me, anyway) ...
