Seems like I've been waiting FOREVER for these photos to be finished. I was just too excited (and a little nervous) to see how they turned out. These photos were taken for my Fashion Styling class at Blanche Macdonald. My first look was based on this YSL runway outfit and the idea of young femininity:
BUT! My major inspiration came from my one and only fav Frida Kahlo:
The final result with the hair and make-up, makes me think "Ale Ale Alejandro".......:

My next look is a nod to utilitarian clothing, but I wanted to do it in the subtlest way possible. I "made" the skirt by wrapping and draping this wrinkled scarf and strategically pinning it. The last thing I wanted was for it come off as army-ish, so I decided to create a hat by replacing accessories with a chic asymmetrical do and by opting for muted grey hues. Shame, shame we can't see the shoes, though :*(
